Miscellaneous Information
As a homeowner since 2015 , in Cypress Bend Condo I, would like to be a part of the board because I believe that there is a lot more we can do to make our community a better place.
As a certified home inspector, I would make sure that all work in our cluster would be done correctly by the vendors, in order to not to pay for the same job multiple times, and not to pay vendors/contractors until the job is done correctly.
Example we paid a lot of money for security cameras which they don’t work at all , the question is which board member approved that contract ? how is possible that they paid for something which is useless? And who knows how many times this happened with different projects
I am amazed to see how easily and how much money we pay for certain things and if I take a closer look of the quality of the job, it is not up to par.
I would like to make common areas more family friendly, get more families with children’s to move in , as we know families with kids would be a strong core for the future Cypress Bend society .
Bring in a different management company, for less money who would do more.
I would make sure that every member of the community would have voice, opinion and they would never hear that from me as a board member that sorry times changed and if you can’t afford the 40-60k special assessment than you have to sell your place and move. After being a resident here for decades.
There is always a solution to make life greater and better.
Regarding the upcoming special assessment, I would like to stop the all projects, hire a trustworthy project manager who is looking out for the condominium interests, not for the bidding and engineering companies interests. Clean out the house and with the fresh start we could do this with a lot less money.
The priority would be to make the repairs to pass the mandated compliance certification.
As we know certification inspections don’t require a full concrete restoration, and I would prioritize the urgent repairs. We need to go building by building, day by day to get the job done without this tremendous financial burden on our community.
I understand that all buildings need major repairs but if we go building by building, than in 10 years all buildings would be up to code all restored and the community would not feel that financial pressure.
