New Board Elections
We are owners of over 200 units at Cypress Bend who firmly stand against the current Board. We successfully supported the Board Recall action and now we invite you to vote for our new Board at Cypress Bend. Our diverse team of professionals—including experts in engineering, enterprise management, law, real estate, and finance—aims to transform all aspects of Cypress Bend operations, making it a better place to live and a more valuable investment.
Our Candidates:
- Laszlo Sandor – Engineering & 40/50-Year Inspections
- Nancy Thompson – Legal
- Arturo Benites – Engineering & Military Experience
- Carla Betancourt – Project Management
- David Crystal – Finance & Securities
- Joseph Blum – Finance & Community Management
Our Immediate Objectives:
- Renegotiate project costs to reduce the financial assessment while meeting certification requirements.
- Lower quarterly fees by leveraging in-house expertise in management, insurance, and engineering.
- Implement governance that prioritizes and protects the interests of our community.
- Streamline the processes for sales, purchases, and rentals.
This team successfully defended your choice for a new Board during the recall campaign, securing DBPR arbitration to certify the removal of the previous Board. The Order of the DBPR Arbitrator can be view here:

Unfortunately, instead of respecting the arbitration ruling, the recalled Board has chosen to appeal the decision in circuit court—using your association funds to fight against your right to choose new leadership.
Details of this conflict have been covered by The Real Deal, a Florida media outlet:
